In October 2001, my stage play Rambling On, was awarded second prize in the Derek Lomas National Playwriting Competition.    The organisers of the competition said "All the judges found 'Rambling On' a very enjoyable, good old-fashioned farce.  The joke of the footpath held up well, there were a number of good pieces of farce and the characters were well drawn, giving the actors something to work on.....

...it was easily the best comedy entered into this competition".

In April 1998, my short story Blindingly Foggy, won First Prize in the Writers News magazine short story competition.
