Ludlow Castle

This month’s Outdoor Photography magazine (July 2015) has one of my photos as one of the Viewpoint selections. It was taken last year, one summer’s evening, as I was wandering along the banks of the River Teme, around Ludlow Castle.

Ludlow Castle - Outdoor Photography - July 2015

Like all photography, it was a question of fortunate timing with the lighting. The slowly setting sun was high enough to give Ludlow Castle’s walls a wonderful warm, yellow glow, without it overpowering the scene, keeping the River Teme dark enough to reflect the bridge, rather than the sunlight. Ludlow’s fine food shops may be closed during the evening, but on a fine summer’s evening, it’s a wonderful place to explore.
