Interactive Workshops for Writers |
|
Okay so you've had speakers along to your group before. What makes us so different? We're both experienced writers working predominantly in different fields and we find that working together we are able to offer a more comprehensive understanding to all areas of writing. |
|
Mission statement over. You've all heard this before. |
| Fine
so have we. We've been to the workshops where the speaker fires you up and
then you go home, switch on your computer and are frozen solid. Suddenly
(and I know we shouldn't use that word) everything we've learned and
listened to has done a whistle stop tour of the brain and has quickly
exited through the left ear, leaving the dull grey matter even duller than
before.
So how and why are we different? We believe that if you choose to write you should at least enjoy what you're doing and learning about writing should also be fun. You remember more if you've had a laugh and also if you've been doing rather than sitting listening. Our workshops are both interactive and entertaining. |

| Group work is important for discussion and instant feedback. (Also if it doesn't work there's always someone else to blame) | There's also time and space for individual writing and chance to expand on your own ideas. (While we have a cup of coffee) | He is smiling honestly and the daft hat? You never know quite what to expect. We aim to be very different from other speakers. | There is also time for quiet reflection. No, he's not asleep we did ask him he told me he was listening intently and I believe him. | Christmas workshops come complete with crackers, hats and games as well as serious stuff, like eating and drinking. |
