Not all footpaths are visible on the ground (and, anyway, OS maps show rights of way, ie – where you have the right to walk, rather than where you can physically walk). But through this field, the autumnal sunshine catching the wet grass shows exactly where the path goes … where walkers have wandered like sheep through the pasture.
