Solar Snapper

After several grey days, it was nice to see some sunshine at lunchtime today. As it was sunny, I opted for a different route to stretch my legs, and explored a tiny single-track road called Squirrel Lane. It’s along that lane that I passed a field of solar panels, clearly earning their keep today. The perfect Snapper Simon photo, I thought.

While standing on the roadside verge, composing my shot, I felt a few spots of rain caress my cheek. Must be from the overhead trees, I thought. They were still wet from earlier this morning. But, if you look carefully at the photo, you might spot a rainbow.

And I have to say, I was delighted when Shefali picked it as a WeatherWatcher photo at the start of BBC Midlands Today this evening!
